Helloo again everyone!
At last I have been able to post as my weeks have been bogged down with revision and catching up on school work. This meant boating has been out of the question for a few weeks! Oh no! To keep up my boating passion I have been reading blogs. What a crazy thing to do. I have been kept entertained by reading The Playboating Apprentice's blog http://playboatapprentice.blogspot.com/ which if you have not read I would highly recommend! It is straightforward and down to earth, like blogs should be.
Anyway whilst being stuck indoors everyone else was having a great time on when the rivers burst their banks so I was having fun watching GoPro vids and the like from the UKRGB community. I must also thank all of you who have been giving me some pointers and I have tried to make changes to the blog template so it looks better. Comment if you think there is something that needs changing as I cannot understand about the template design. Never mind.
I have decided that I am probably going to compete in the Youth Freestyle series so I have thought that some coaching should be on the agenda. As we speak the bags are being packed with boating kit for me to go down to Nottingham tonight and staying over. I have to thank Jon Best for responding to emails so quickly and also for getting me sorted with some coaching at short notice. I will definitely be blogging afterwards with some new pictures from Hpp with Jon too!
Hopefully I should have improved and having more fun with boating once again.
Have fun and Float with it!
Tom

First blog!
Hello everyone! With this being a new year and a fresh start I thought that I might as well do something more interesting. So I decided to make a blog. Now the proper template is not finished yet but that will take some time.
My name is Tom and at the moment I am 14 years old. I live near Manchester and I reaaaaallly like kayaking. If I could I would love to go everyday but school gets in the way! I have been kayaking since summer 2009 but a shoulder injury from rugby caused me to be unable to paddle throughout last winter. I love all types of kayaking but freestyle is where my heart lies. Even though I am not very good everyone can dream.
An easier to achieve dream is to be able to cartwheel properly. Hopefully I will have that mastered soon, but as with everything, it will take lots of practice to get better. Another ambition of mine is to be on the GBR freestyle team but this will take a lot of effort! I will be getting a lot more coaching and hoping to fulfill my dream.
My kit at the moment is:
Red Jackson Star 08 model
Peakuk Deluxe cag blue
Palm Symbiant ww bouyancy aid blue
Happy 2b Helmet, white with red stripe down the middle
Playboater work deck.
This is my first blog post so I hope you have liked it and come back when I update it in about a week.
So keep kayaking and more importantly: Float with it!
